Companies & Social Media: Important or not?

Hi guys!

I'm a student from Belgium and I have a little question for you concerning social media. Do you think that it's necessary for companies to use social media?

    Hi Steven, yep being active on social media is a total must for any business now (physical or virtual). It's the perfect way to engage with your customers, reach new ones and develop a 'voice' for your brand. Got to do it right though!

      So does this mean every company has to make good use of it?
      I mean, is it possible to not use social media as a company in times like this?

    Not every type of company benefits equally much from social media, but there's no harm in being there unless you invest a lot of money in your strategy and it doesn't pay off.

    Some niches are harder than others ....
