Facebook Boosted Post Hyperlink

Hey Folks,

Does anyone know how to hyperlink your image in a boosted post?

To boost a post I do this:

In the "What have you been up to?" on our company page I hit the Photo/Video toggle, then hit Upload Photo's

I can then browse for photo's on my computer, but there doesn't seem to be an option to hyperlink that photo to our website.

I'm sure it can be done as I've seen others do this.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Are you familiar with the power editor?

I've just downloaded this. It looks like a tool for the paid ads that appear on the right.

For clarity, I'm looking specifically at the sponsored ads that feature in folks news feeds.

The power editor does everything, paid ads both newsfeed and right side, but you can also manage your fan pages within it as well.

Are you trying to create a paid newsfeed ad or just post a linked image that will show up on your fan's newsfeed (non-paid)?

A paid newsfeed. Basically, on our fan page we have the option to "Boost a Post" which then shows the picture and the copy in the newsfeed of other FB users.

OK - this is frustrating. Every time I try to upload this ad it says:

    • Failed to create ad "Dog Transportation": Some of the people this ad is targeted may not be able to see it because of privacy settings or other restrictions associated with your Page or the post. Check the privacy, language and country targeting on the post you're trying to promote to make sure it matches the settings on your Page.

    Any advice?

I've never experienced that warning, but check your page settings to see if you've selected a country and language. If so, create a new post in the power editor and try selecting that country and language for your post targeting.

When creating a post in the power editor, scroll all the way to the bottom of the pop up and select the matching country and language settings of your page before you hit "create post".

Have you figured out how to make the sponsored ad a linked image? Just want to make sure you've set it up correctly in the power editor....
