Dropping ranking and traffic?

Hi guys,

I am working on a education portal since last 2 years. The site has working very well before the last 2 penguin updates that is penguin 2.0 and 2.1. My site is completely affected by the penguin 2.0. After that I have removed all the irrelevant back links and resubmit it again. After that my site was working very well. I always got 25k visits on daily basis on my site, but after penguin 2.1 again there is lost of 80% in traffic and ranks. Now I am getting only 3 to 5K visits on daily basis. Now at this time there is not any manual web span is there. I also got the same mail from webmaster regarding this. I do not know now that what to do to get back the actual positions of site. Looking for your suggestion as soon as possible.

I have changed all posts of my site and used good quality content for last 1 month, but still not got any type of positive improvement neither in traffics nor in ranks.

The new Google update gives importance to your bounce rate also average time spent along with social signals
So i think you should try to increase these if they are low right now, after new updates i have increased my ranking just by simple backlinks and making sure that there is lot of stuff for readers to get engaged
Like adding a lot of recommended posts at end and similar things

Your backlink profile is the reason. Do the backlink audit once again, use disavow tool and don't loose hope. Irrelevant backlinks aren't the only problem - their quality is.

But it could be difficult to get the rankings back.

    Hi,

Unfortunately your site and every other job scraping/aggregation site all have similar results. My guess is that (1) you've got problems with your own site that Google's new algorithm has picked up on and hit you, and (2) Google has decided that all of these sites are of not as much value and have reduced their traffic to these "aggregators" as a whole.

    1) Lots of advertising embedding in the site making the user experience poor. Typically it's infolinks being the most invasive - you've got at least a half dozen words highlighted in your first 40 words of text. It's like a minefield. You've got two ads right on top next to each other before a user sees any content.

    2) I took one post at random. I see it in at least 3 other places and this site comes up every time: exam-result.org/page/2
Much of the time its copied/scraped/rewritten posts from other sites. Not accusing you but when the subject is very close, Google probably sees all these posts as identical even if they aren't technically identical and just close. Have fun.
