Social Media - New acnt for each product?

Hello

I am in the process of launching a new product and it seems to me that I should open a new acnt for each social media outlet. So Pinterest, You Tube, FB page, Stumbleupon, Twitter etc.

Having separate acnts could be used to promote each other I guess.

I know some here have just a few sites but some have a shed full.

But am I going around the houses with this and if so, what do you guys do, do you use software to manage these accounts or do it by hand?

Thanks

Thought so, but there may have been a warrior trick to it ;-)

      Thanks

Depending on how many products you launch, that could become unmanageable. Why not use a unique hashtag for each of your products on making on the sites/separate your content with branding of a similar nature and save yourself some needless overwork.

But for products you may have in different niches, different accounts wouldn't be a bad idea. Since you said you would cross-promote, I am assuming that is not the case. Don't worry about what you might miss out in gaining from your own cross-promotion, because you should focus on creating more quality SM content rather than the extra efforts of promoting your own promotions

    wholesale blogger,

It would be smart to setup completely different social media platforms on each one of your products. Make sure that you include an awesome design on each page to keep that bounce rate low. The best way to manage several platforms at once is using www.hootsuite.com. We are currently manageing over 9,000 clients social media pages. If you need some assistance feel free to visit my website at Social Media Marketing Services: Professional Social Media Campaigns or call our 1-800 number. thx!

Apologies for just responding now. I've had a full workload and the holidays to contend with!

Regarding using your own hashtag, you need to really make sure do something small, brandable, that will attract other people to use it themselves and/or retweet the content.

A few examples...when I was specializing in time management (as a freelance writer) I would do a daily #timemgmttip (or something similar, I honestly can't remember)

... and as a Kindle ghostwriter (if I was still using Twitter) I might use #kindleromancetip...

Both of which are fairly simple and could be both used by someone else and retweeted.

Before I started using the favoriting a tweet feature on Twitter like a Like button on Facebook, I used to favorite all of my hashtag tweets and link to it as my favorites. I think you might be able to just link to all hashtag related tweets.

Since I happily remain allergic to FB, I can't provide more guidance regarding hastags there except that I believe you can use and click them now.

Consider creating a short, memorable hashtag for a product, like if I created a product that was a Kindle romance novel business in a box, I might do #KindleRomDn4U or #KindleRomanceBizinBox or something shorter (guess my brain is a little fried at the moment).

What I'm trying to get at is that when you're in similar product categories in a single niche that you're going to want to use the same account or you will go insane with the time you waste managing it yourself or the money you spend for someone else to.

I hope this helped. If not, feel free to ask more questions and I'll do my best to address you with solid answers.
