Question about Facebook accounts on same IP address

First of all, I have only one account on Facebook.

I read somewhere in the Warrior Forum that Facebook can shut down your accounts if it suspects that you have violated their TOS because you have multiple accounts.

It was also stated in the same post that Facebook can determine that you have multiple accounts based on the different accounts that are logging in from the same IP address.

Here is my question:

If each member of my own family each has his/her own account on Facebook, and we are all using the same IP address, would Facebook then mistakenly think that one person opened multiple accounts and shut down our accounts?

Does anybody know how this works?

I doesn't know any about that, but according to me, facebook only shutdown your account, if you're open various account with same phone number, IP is not reason behind that. Because i am working in a IM company, we provide SMO services also, in that case we open various FB account form same IP and promote clients business and all account works perfectly.

      Thank you for the response.

The person who posted what I read in the Warrior Forum about Facebook finding out that multiple accounts have been opened from same IP address is selling a WSO.

I would ask him the question about what he means but he had mentioned to another person asking that all questions should only pertain to the WSO and that questions about Facebook should be asked in the Social Media Discussion Forum.

I know that there are IM companies that open FB accounts for local businesses from the same IP address.... so I don't know why he thinks that Facebook will shut a person's account down if multiple accounts have been opened from the same IP address.

But thank you for your input.

No, Face Book will not suspend account because they are from same IP address.
Remember people use their face book accounts from their work place and they all of them same IP addresses.
When I used to work in Bank's head office, there were more than 5000 people using the same IP address and most of them were using Face Book.

What you're saying makes a lot of sense.

      Thank you for responding.

IP address is a really unreliable way to verify your location anyway, so probably not. That said, if you give off other suspicious signs—such as similar phone numbers, always liking and sharing one core account's posts etc, they might use it to investigate.
