Any Warriors Want to Share Their Youtube Marketing Strategies?

I realized the power of Youtube a few weeks ago. Damn was it powerful! Just saw a guy who posted a YouTube video 4 months ago and his already receiving more than 100k plus views for that particular video ONLY. Plus this guy is in the same niche as me which happens to be not very popular among IMers so I've too decided to try my luck and create a viral video on YouTube to get more traffic to my website.

Please give suggestions as to how I can create a viral video on YouTube. Anything will do as long as it gets met a high rank on YouTube, more views, etc.

Just share some of your strategies that you use for viral YouTube marketing. Your replies are much appreciated

Best Regards,
Ethan

To be honest with you it's not very easy to have a viral video on youtube otherwise everyone would be doing it.
You only can try to have one.
Make sure to do a proper SEO on your video and share it on your social media accounts as much as possible.
If people like it, they will be sharing it and that's how it can go viral ....

Use a vps system that does video association such as like the stuff on videopromotionsoftware.com.. thats the only time tested way I have found to make any videos 'go viral' as you put it.

    Ok, I have a question.

Does short descriptions for videos get a higher ranking on Google than long descriptions?

Short descriptions work good on youtube. I have alot of different videos ranked high on Youtube. I have seen great results after doing proper on page SEO on my videos description and title.

Use same concept as you would for On page SEO for a blog post....

--Keyword density 1-2% (Every 100 words = use keyword 1 time)

---> Doing good Keyword research and on page SEO for your video is crucial in this process.

--> Views, Comments, and shares help with ranking inside Youtube.

Before i ever use automation techniques i invest time into learning the standard technique of ranking a Youtube video.

      Stick with Low Competition Keywords
Social Bookmark the video URL on various bookmarking sites(there are tons)

Thanks for this information. In addition to this I'd take a look at the top videos for the keyword you want to rank for and see what they have done to see what you may need to do to beat them. You may decide it's not worth the time or money and move on to another keyword - there are loads of them after all.

Ranking a video on Google / YouTube for even medium competition keyword requires a lot of views and backlinks. Basic on-page SEO can only help to rank videos for low competition keywords.

Best is to do competition analysis and find out if you're targeting a realistic keyword. Then you can work on off page SEO factors like backlinks etc.

What is the niche you're trying to work in anyway? if you actually do produce your own videos, you could look into collaborating with other Youtubers.

You can't really influence your video going viral or not but you can remember about a few things when creating it:
    - use humor and/or motivation in your videos - these are the two most popular features of a viral video
    - the more videos you'll create, the better the chance of them going viral
    - share your video where you can and ask people to share it as well
    Good luck
