how many twitter accounts would you run / create with 1 specific IP adress.

ive read a bunch of controversial answers.
What would your personal opinion be on this one?

i'd say theres no problem running 50 accounts (if you'd like) with just one ip

    Dont create too much accounts with the same ip it could be blocked

    The Streaming API docs state that
    a) each account may create only one standing connection to the Streaming API, and
    b) excessive connection attempts will result in an automatic ban of the IP.
    So if I use multiple Twitter applications and clients for the same account/screen_name, would they compete for the standing connection? And if they use the same IP address (router), would the ones trying to reconnect count as "Excessive connection attempts" and eventually get my IP banned?


    But, if one family is using same system . They need to login with different accounts on the same system. So , You can operate up to 5 accounts in 1 ip. But still need to be careful, while you open accounts. If it is different names, email that it might be safe.

    Since it's risky so better not violet guideline. If you really need more twitter accounts then it is better to use vpn.
