High CTR, but low Page Likes

Hi all,

I have recently created a few ad campaigns to get some page likes. I have read that CTRs of 0.2% or higher are quite optimal, and all of my ad campaigns range from 0.5% to 1.5%. However, my cost per page like is very high for each ad.

Is there something I'm missing? Is it my ad, or do I need to focus on my page itself?

Cheers!

Since you have high CTR, it shouldn't be your ad. You should focus on the page more because maybe the visitators are not interested in your subject.

Where are you sending them to? Just to the timeline? Your not likely to get many likes there. Send them to a fan gated tab where they have to "Like Us to Continue". Its a proven tactic used by thousands of pages that works quite well.

Thanks for the advice all! Yes, I am sending them to the timeline. Are there fan gated tabs which work better than others? We're an online shoe retailer, and I was thinking of doing something like : 'LIKE' to get exclusive deals and offers!

For one of my niches, I offered free YouTube videos with expert information. I got a great response doing this. What works best will depend on your niche. I would come up with some ideas of items to give away for your fan-gate tab and poll your customers and ask them which ones are the most important. The winner will likely perform the best.
