How come its all about Facebook today??

Is facebook traffic really that great? It hurts since I am banned from the ads account. Is it smart to start a fan group and promote freely on facebook? I never see anyone talking about this. But can facebook ban you for promoting a free fan page via other fan pages etc?

What about youtube....is it still good?

If you're doing ads, Facebook can help you target really finely. I have heard the CTR is very low, but i don't know that for sure, i suspect it depends on the ad.

Youtube is still up and running and with the right videos and enough of them can bring you some nice traffic.

Facebook can ban you for anything they want. They dont have to do business with you or anyone if they choose not to.

The best about facebook is that you can get highly targeted audience if you run the ads carefully.

Facebook are getting more and more cautious about what they display. Facebook traffic is awesome! I get about 20k a month from Facebook alone its 80% of my traffic! But ya recently some accounts have been "Banned" or just disappeared.

In short Facebook can ban you from whatever they want!

If you do all right things, noone ban or warn your business and in contrast, you will fail soon.
All social media are good place to advertise or earn traffic.

Facebook is well known for banning people, pages, groups, etc. Sticking to the rules helps, but does not mean you are safe from banning. It can take weeks to get the page back if they decide to put a ban on it.

Why is it so great? It is not great on its own, its the number of regular users that are great!

Like brutecky said, it's the vast amount of data they have on their users. They not only have a ton of traffic, but they know a TON about what their users like. The ability to market directly to people who have publicly said they like what you are selling is pure gold.

There are so many people on Facebook, that you can really target your ads to a specific niche and still have an audience of a million people. The ads themselves are quite reasonable .

I have been very successful on FB targeting local market. Try to narrow down your audience and go with highly targeted audience. Always Limit your budget $x per day. you'll notice a big difference.

You can promote your Fan page as long as you do so ethically.

FB offers a very detailed analysis of your target audience even before you place your ad.....this i think is a very valuable resource for any marketer.

Social Media marketing works and facebook traffics rocks too. it gives you the opportunity to choose your audience and target your ad. Best way to use fb for ad and save cost is using fan page. drive traffic to the page using fb ad and then promote your offer via the page or build list.

Facebook reminds me a lot of Google SERP, always changing things up, playing with us and pulling our puppet strings.

I'd say spend your time promoting via free methods and directly engaging your audience. It's a better quality visitor/customer and gives the you the freedom to be more flexible and creative.

I'd also suggest starting to engage with communities on Google+.

Social media is about more than just how many people can I get to my website, it's about the quality of the person and engaging them to gain loyalty and repeat business.

    I hope this helps you.

I agree with tiroberts. You don't need a lot of money to gain loyal fans in facebook. What you need to do is to find engaging methods that will entertain, inform and add value to your fans. By doing this they will love you more.
