question about fb marketing

So I created a facebook page in my niche that I've developed a website in and also wrote an ebook for that I sell on my site. My facebook page has almost 900 likes (got there through FB ads). I get at least 10-20 likes and shares every time I post so my audience is pretty engaged. I recently made a post about my ebook for sale on my site, and even spent $10 on fb to "boost" the post toward my target audience. The post got viewed over 2,000 views and got 20 likes but I got ZERO people to actually buy my book (Maybe because my book is $15). ANYWAY my newest idea is this: to start individual adding people who like and comment on my posts, and build up a network of "friends" that are all interested in my niche. Then I plan to write Kindle ebooks withing my niche and I'll casually post about it on fb, and all my friends who are already interested in my topic will know I'm writing a book about it. Then hopefully when I "launch" my book, I will have people already ready to buy! Problem is I only have 3 friends on this fb account because I created the account for the soul purpose of joining fb groups related to my niche. (I didn't want to do it on my "real" fb account). So I'm worried when I add these new friends, they'll think I'm not real, or a spammer or something because I have so little friends. Thoughts, ideas?

unless and until you won't send them friend request no one going to add you so while sending request drop them a message or ask you friends suggest you as friend to there friend list.

Get some of your old friends into this new account and spread the word

    Actually, i agree with abdulquddus.
Dear KRobertson, you can add some old friends to the group, but don't add too much stranger to the group. If some stranger report you, your account will be banned soon.

Try selling it for $7 and make it a limited time offer. I would rather make dozens of sales everyday at $7 rather than make no sales at $15. Plus ebooks are 100% profit so you have nothing to lose.

Do you have an email catcher in your FB page? If yes, are people signing up on your opt-in page when they click your iframe tab? Do you have a pinterest account set up? How engaging are your post are? Do you test variety of post - FB poster (which can also be uploaded in Pinterest), video, helpful links to your fans, etc.?

Add more and more people who are interested in your page then try to keep close relationship with them. You can also think about widen your busines to their friends too

You facebook page likes are not your customer, facebook ads always gives you just likes not customer, try to share your page with more related persons by posting quality of content for your targeted audience.. you can't get customers with 1K likes..

Well the best option is to add your old friends and to ask them for help promoting to their friends. Then add new people as you have real friends and real engagement, but make sure first the people that you want to add have some interest in your product, if they report you as a spam you would be in trouble.
