Promoting on Youtube

Hello, I've been lately promoting clickbank products on youtube, and had some great success. However, my hoplinks not so long ago were blocked. I contacted clickbank, and they told that affiliates are no longer able to use link shorteners.
Is there any other way affiliates can change or shorten their promotion links? I was thinking about putting the affiliate link under my own domain name, that will direct customers to the sales page. But I'm not sure if you are able to do that also...
Anyway, any help will be accepted. Thank you all in advance.

    This has always worked for me and I've never had my hoplinks blocked, although I can't say for sure that it isn't now against their ever tightening policy decisions.

    Add a subdomain and then set up a redirect to the hoplink so "order.yourdomain.com" drops straight in to hoplink. This can be done in your control panel at your host and is actually the most professional way to go about it.

    Hi,

    You could create some kind of BONUS offer for everyone that buys
    through your affiliate link.

    But first you'll need to set up a squeeze page, add that link URL
    below your YouTube video, tell people what they can get if they
    click that link, enter their email into your squeeze page opt-in form
    and then they'll be added to your email list and will be more receptive
    to buying your recommended affiliate product too.

    I use pretty links to make my affiliate links nowadays I use to do manual php redirects but I have now just started using pretty links and like the way it works...

    Creating a landing page works well but its not something I am doing at the moment :-) I know I know but I will soon enough :-) For the simple reason I am just testing the offers first for conversions

      Randal has a good suggestion. I'd just like to add to it.

      Yes, buy a short domain name. Why short? Because I suggest not using a link in your description at all. The problem with using links in descriptions, especially when promoting CB products, is you set your account up to be deleted quite easily (and YT loves to delete affiliate channels, especially anything promoting "make money"). Having the same link under all your videos makes you a target. Solution? Watermark. A lot of people will tell you that you'll get less traffic - and these people would be right - but do you get less QUALITY traffic? I think if someone can't be bothered to type in your URL, they're pretty low quality in the first place.

      So . . .

      Short domain name - easy to spell, remember, and, thus, type in.

      Link it to a landing page specific to that offer, but . . . don't redirect. PRESELL. You'll increase conversions.

      Then use any affiliate link cloaker you prefer. If you use WP as your CMS, there are tons of free ones.
