Pinterest + Amazon = Mucho Dinero

Anyone still making significant earnings with Pinterest and Amazon affiliate links? I have been promoting may affiliate links on Pinterest (using my methods) but haven't seen the dollars yet.

I have seen a LOT of traffic, but not $$ from it yet.

Questions:
How long after you started using amazon and pinterest did you start to see income?
What is your preferred method for being successful with this method?

Possibly, generating income from pins of Amazon products was something possible a long time ago. But Pinterest is cracking down on affiliate links. There's no saying whether or not a redirect would work either. These sites are getting better about cracking down on 'spam'.

wonder you break amazon association rules?
you can't post the affiliate link in other places..

unless you promote your site ..than visitors come your site and visit your affiliate link.

anyway I notice recently seem like people don't shop much?

even I myself also don't feel the mood to do online shopping as holiday seasons soon coming to end

Try linking to Amazon without the affiliate link from Pinterest and see if that gets blocked or do as recommended and simply add a link to your own Amazon review page where you are linking to Amazon.

Maybe the glory days of being an Amazon affiliate are over. Amazon is so huge now, they don't need the little guy's help with promotion. Anyway, Amazon has such a huge ad budget anyway and already gets so many voluntary reviews and links to their site, no need for affiliate links.

yes, I notice the same. I get a lot of clicks to my affiliate links, but the conversion rate isn't good. perhaps it is because of the holidays?

What type of CR were you seeing when you tried this?

Pinterest just not allowing affiliate links, even the links with url shorteners. It happened with me when i tried to promote CB products. Though the landing page idea works.

Maybe you should add a question mark to the end of your title of this thread because I wasted 30 seconds of my life being excited for what I thought was you achieving success.

    Thanks for nothing...

... and you just wasted 30 seconds more of your time and my time by writing this useless comment. Maybe you should contribute rather than simply troll for freebies. I'm looking for quality people using this method to make $$ as I am.

I most likely make more money in a day than you probably make in 2 weeks - maybe even a month.

If you took another 30 seconds to look at my post history, you would see I provide a ton of value to this forum without asking for anything return.

Thanks all for the responses. Yes, I know the basics that everyone keeps talking about - create a landing page, or a microsite and put affiliate links on the site. Drive traffic to the site... blah blah blah.

I'm already getting a ton of traffic to my affiliate links, pinboards, and sites... the issue is converting the traffic. Anyone converting pinterest traffic with affiliate links (amazon, CPA, etc)? If so, what are you doing and do you have suggestions?

I'll be posting some exact details of how I'm using this method in the near future. I would like to get a decent conversion rate before that though.

Pinterest + Ecommerce = best ROI

Pinterest + Review / Affiliate landing page = 2nd best ROI

Since many people on the forum don't have access to products, wholesalers, etc and are looking to make $$ through social media, one of the best methods is to use Pinterest to pin images from your Amazon review or product listing website (assuming you have one), leading visitors to that page, vs directly with your amazon link (as that is being cracked down on).

Its not that WHAT you are doing is not working, its HOW you are doing it that is failing.

You have to pair the image to the product. A pin of a nice car with the tagline pointing to weight loss will not work. There is a difference between "TRAFFIC" and "TARGETED TRAFFIC".

I personally Pin to my boards with original content IE my own photos. This allows me the ability to place the photo directly on MY site. On a page that sells MY product. The difference between placing your call to action on just any photo from who knows where, to placing your call to action on YOUR photo from YOUR site is huge.

I understand you may not have the ability to take your own photos. but, you can create your own images. its time to get creative.

If you need further helplet me know I can guide you in the right direction.

      Hope that Helps!

      Awesome.

      Let's add a number 3. - Pinterest + ((creativity + Amazon links)/# of accounts) = ROI

Yeah I to direct people to pages I actually own with my affiliate like on them. Instead of giving them the direct link. Yeah it's one more step for the buyer and a little more work for me but it works.

I worked on the pin connecting to a review blog and then connecting to my affiliate amazon pages. Before Christmas I posted a lot of pins with pictures of very attractive products and then I got 169 visits to my affiliate pages, though there was no selling at all. I am sure by following my own pins that thay really connect to my reviews page and then the user is correctly linked to the affiliate page. Now I am wondering if maybe all that stuff about many women using Pinterest to buy online is just a faked story created to gain a lot of users subscribed to Pinterest, following the deceiving page about the spammer who earns a thowsand dollars a day using Pinterest to sell Amazon products. Do you really know someone who really uses Pinterest to buy products or services? Or do you know someone who really is earning money by the Pinterest Amazon scheme?

    Hi,

@Matthew Anton; does this pinterest traffic now works when I send the pinterest traffic to my amazon affiliate site to make sales?
Does this method convert good at 2% or more something?

Or is it better to monetize pinterest traffic with adsense?

Also does pinter people more in amazon product buying modus or they like more to click on adsense ads?
