Facebook News Feed Ads

So access to News Feed ads for Facebook have now been up for about a week now. I've found my CTRs are much better this way but is it really a much better outlet for ads? It definitely looks to have increased CPC effectiveness but I haven't seen much notable differences with oCPM. Is this a superior ad space over the right-hand side ads? Or do you think a mix of both is best?

The newsfeed is a certainly a better place to get attention but only if the ads are on desktop. On mobile, the ads are often clicked by accident and if you do not have a mobile optimized website, the user experience can be poor. The problem with newsfeed ads is that many of the clicks often go to the Facebook page that is promoting the content. If you are trying to promote a website, this is the opposite of the result the advertiser is generally looking for.
