Is It Against Facebook's TOS To Promote Your Facebook Page Through Groups?

I'm new to promoting Facebook pages. To be honest with you I don't know if they're effective. My strategy is to start with free traffic and get a thousand likes. If it works, I might starting advertising my page to save me some time. One of the first things I want to do is promote my page through groups. I've seen quite a few people do this. Is this against Facebook's TOS? I don't want to get my account suspended before I even get started.

Most of the pages are deleted due to spam, advertise in your niche group not in mass irreverent groups.

That's what I had in mind. But I'm concerned that Facebook is still going to suspend me for spamming. I need somebody who's been doing this for a while to confirm that it's okay.

If you didn't do anything wrong, you would not have to scare about Facebook TOS Just do your business. Good luck

Ok - a few tips on posting to FB.
If you post to a lot of places right after each other, you WILL be blocked - at least for a while.
Repeated failures will lead to your total suspension and possibly being deleted.

That said - if you want to post to FB, it is fine.
Take a few, don't do more than 10 or 15 every 10 minutes... you can also use an autoposting app that can do it for you, and can do it a bit faster.
If you do post to groups, as mentinoed, don't spam.
Don't add your post to the tail of someone else's post either.
Don't promote porn, scams, and don't harass people and you will be fine.
