There are hundreds of sites online where you can earn a little or a lot of money by publishing your articles. This may not be the glamorous way to earn money with your own infoproduct but it's a good way to start. Simply write and publish your articles on revenue sharing sites. You'll start earning small but once you have a few hundred quality articles up, your income will multiply and then you can roll that money over into investing into your own site and products. Many of the same techniques you use for promoting your own product can be used for promotion of article pages you have published including SEO and backlinking and even Facebook ads.

All the reading and study won't earn any money if you don't make an action plan and take it to the next step. You need to pick one product and at least try to market that.

Hi Jerry, All good advice from the other guys, I don't now what you are marketing, but facebook, is a great place once you understand targeting. if you are marketing, to more then 10,000, then you are way over the target. Try to be a lot more targeted. If you are in the stop smoking, then look for people on facebook, that talk to people about that, and use that as one of the things that people have to talk about to see your ad.

Targeting is everything when it comes to facebook.

    I hope this helps, you.

    Jerry, take a look offline.

Have a wander round the town where you live and look at local businesses. Make a note of them and then go and have a look online at their social media profiles.

Lots of business owners know they should be using social media as part of their marketing strategy but just do not have the time to do it. Why not go and ask to take over and help them with their profiles for a small fee to get your foot in the door.

    I hope this helps.

Great advice. There are so many bricks and mortar businesses that don't have the social media skills that are becoming essential to staying in business. Definitely an opportunity to become the middle man to market their businesses.

If you want to earn money from Facebook then first you target the people share your product. When you promote the product in online then you tag the more and more people.

Marketing on Facebook is difficult to learn. If you want to be successful marketing on Facebook, try asking the people that are successful for advice. You often can message their Facebook pages directly or find them online on their websites or forums. The problem in the open forums is you have a mixture of experts and novices. Figuring out what advice is good and what is bad can be difficult even if you are asking all experts.

The simple version of marketing successfully on Facebook is to share content that you would actually engage with if you were on the receiving end, ask your friends and family for feedback, grow your audience, and make a plan for eventually making money. However, you have to have the audience and the passion first.

I advise not to START marketing on FB. Most people do not click the ads on FB because they know they are paid for, and targeted and people don't like being followed. In fact, it's always on the news on how to remove geo-tags, protect your kids, opt out, etc. We are a nation of ads and marketing overload and zero privacy even in your own home on your own laptop/phone.

I would never depend on FB to make my income unless I knew what I was doing, and if you haven't made money in 2 months, then I'd venture to say it's not working for you because you don't know what you're doing (not a bad thing, we all start somewhere).

Your website and the fact that you admit that you are "learning facebook" would not make me as a consumer confident in your abilities. You clearly tell me in your URL that you don't know what you're doing, and here you've confirmed it for us by saying you've made no money.

Get a mentor and use this as a "side project" because it's not going to make you any money to live off of until you know what you're doing. There will be plenty of people here to tell you to buy a WSO, or read this or follow ____'s uber successful FB marketing plan, but in reality, you've got to call it what it is and put it on the back burner.

That can mean anything from dropping it completely, to getting a "real" job and doing this after hours until it makes you money and you know it back and front. It might mean doing offline to get actual customers of your own that will visit you on FB as MOST successful marketing/pages are successful because people use the service/product in real life and THEN like the page or go looking for specials/coupons.

I've visited your link in your sig, and nothing about it makes me want to follow your journey. It does make me want to sell you my services to teach you how to make money instead of writing a blog about flopping and failing and how hard it is to learn FB (or marketing in general). Also, where is the link to your FB page? Are you learning FB but have no FB presence?

Sorry, but you need to answer these questions for yourself and you need a GOOD mentor with honest advice, or you will not be making any money, and you'll only have a bunch of other people that have no clue following you and sharing what doesn't work for them too.

You've essentially opened a forum like this one but without the help of people that know what they are doing to lead you.

I'd counter that argument with something I just heard Gary Vaynerchuck say recently..which was along the lines of...

      "Convenience trumps privacy"

Translation: Make a solution someone is looking for quick and easy to obtain and they'll not worry about privacy issues"..

As for marketing on Facebook...I'll also second the comment made by someone about Chris Blair...and/or Matt Stefanick...they're "business partners" and just did a little webinar on how to use Facebook for finding targeted customers...

These two guys make their living on Facebook and knowing how to target specific people for specific offers! So, if you're going to try and tame the 800lb gorilla called Facebook, I can't think of too many other people more qualified to train you than those two guys!

I said don't START marketing on FB. He clearly isn't ready since he's "learning" nor did he ask us for who he should follow or get training from, he asked for a trick.

Starting your marketing with just FB is not easy or a good choice, that was my point (and that is what he's trying to do). He has a website, that has no link to his FB page, or calls us to pay him for a service or product. After looking at his site I have no idea what he's doing besides writing a journal to share with everyone else how he's learning and struggling on FB. He needs to have people to market TO, that know his name/business. He is not ready for FB or marketing yet, and what he is doing isn't working and isn't going to on the road he is on now.

I have a million pieces of advice for him, however, that's why we get paid for consulting and training

I hardly ever reply on these forums, but my itch had to be scratched.

I am not sure if you're really in the position to give facebook marketing advice. Your page has a mere 119 likes.

Furthermore, your website is hosted on wordpress.com. I for one won't even bother looking at your site for 7 seconds. How can a business that is selling marketing services be taken seriously if they do not even own a domain?

I am not trying to insult you or your business. This is just my 2 cents.

Here's the answers. We have MORE than enough business. We started a FB page just because, we don't "do FB marketing" - but we did need a presence. We don't get crap off of FB because we don't try and don't need to. As for the website, we just switched our domain provider and haven't completed the updated site. We had a "normal" site for 3 years and just about 3 weeks ago it reverted back to wordpress (where we started with a blog only). Again though, our clients and revenue don't come from either, it's all word of mouth, and we're quite busy that we don't need either the FB or the website, but people always ask. So instead of having to email the same thing over and over, we did a basic website on our blog a few years ago. We are updating for the exact reasons you cited - because you get taken more seriously

In our personal life we just had a baby over the holidays, and had some health issues, so it's a slow go of the new site. Which, like I said isn't top priority when you have clients already and a new baby! Thanks for your input though.

and I'll counter that with a Why Not?

If someone understands the potential FB provides, such as ONE BILLION USERS, I don't see the problem if someone wants to get started there, or wants to crack into the MMO niche as a 'newbie' on the web....one has to start somewhere, why not pick a source where one could technically get started with little to no upfront costs?

First of all, remember that in the internet marketing are two ways to promote something:
    1. By paying for publicity
    2. Free, but this involves to spend many time on the internet.

My advices to simply and free marketing on FB:
    - ALWAYS be targeted!! Do not waste time trying to attract people that could not be interested in your topic.
    - search people, pages in your domain, give likes, comments, be active!
    - post to these pages a message for "share for share" S4S. Here is a good example for how to use S4S: http://www.warriorforum.com/social-m...ding-dime.html

    - also search on that pages other people who commented or liked there and might be interested in your domain and apply the same!

This is a work that takes some time but I think that FB is very effective! Good luck!

If you have a great number of friends, or on a page if you have a lot of likes on a page, then that means you already have your customers in your store, and now they are waiting for you to put something on the shelves for them to see and then buy.
    Get it?
Facebook is a huge market now, so many people work through this platform to make money. I know so many people who have pages selling clothes or shoes or accessories or cars or phone on Facebook. So you need to get as many people to like your page and show them what you got.
Post something interesting everyday to keep your customer interested, so that they would come and see your page everyday. Lets take and example of vines, vines now a days are so popular that they post about 6 to 7 no more videos everyday, and everyday those videos are watched by millions of viewers because they are only 7 secs videos and also because they are mostly funny. And even if sometimes they post something irrelevant to the page, viewers still admire it.
So don't forget to keep your page flowing with interesting things, and your viewers busy
