Is it usefull to have non-US & non-EU FB 'Likes'

I managed to collect about 2,000 real likes from US, CA and UK. But they are quite expensive, at about $0.35 per Like. I've seen lots of fan pages who getting likes from non-US and non-EU countries for around $0.03.

Is there any advantage in boosting number of 'Likes' with non-US/EU 'Likes'? Maybe for SEO or for strengthening the brand.

It all depends on what you want to do. For example, in my case Int likes are useless as I use Facebook to drive traffic to my website (adsense)

$0.35 per US/UK like is actually quite expensive. even $0.03 for int likes is expensive !! My campaign does $0.03 per US like and $0.006 per int likes.

    Hope this helped you out

maybe price per like depends on demographics. I am targeting females, 45-65 for health niche. Who is your target audience? Just broadly speaking.

One of my ads is constantly outperforming other 15 ads by 300%, with CTR of around 0.30-0.35%. So maybe I need to hone my creative.

If your fans Non US fans will benefit you in any way, then of course better you get them as well.
It doesn't matter where they are from, the only thing matter is what benefits they bring to you.

What is actually reachable CTR, for right hand column ads on desktops? My best so far was 0.35%, but I've seen a guy here on forum having one ad doing %0.56

    Hi,

I managed to get .05/like from US, CA and UK in the health niche.

I think it's all depends on your targeting. Make it more specific.

Let's say you are targeting Dating. You could instead target...

    Christian Dating
    Mature Dating

    etc.

I believe that the more specific you are the lower your cpm.

Plus you could easily increase your clickthroughs with this method.

Also, another tip is to use the newsfeed ads instead of the sidebar ads.

    Hope this helps!

I guess that depends on what you are marketing. For myself I market software, and people all over the world buy software so I dont care where my likes come from, so long as they are real people with at least some interest in the kind of software I sell.

When you are starting your page, building a large international audience is the best way to launch. Once you have an audience large enough where you stand out from most pages, going after local and national likes is much easier. If you had 10,000 or 100,000 likes globally on your page, you usually can get likes around $0.10 each in the US. People in developed countries that have been using Facebook a long time tend to interact mostly with either pages they know through friends/family or pages they see as established. Use the international audience to get established and then go after your ideal audience.

  • Think of in terms of potential markets. Asia, for example, is a rising market and cheaper that US and EU likes. If your product is something you feel that would also appeal to that market, I think getting those likes would be an investment for the future.
