What are the best strategies to attracting portrait clients using Facebook?

I'm new here and new to Facebook. Just purchased Tab Engine and am ready to build up a fan page for my studio.

I'm thinking of running some sort of contest and buying facebook ads to re-target those who entered the contest and advertising to people with young children in my city of half a million.

But I a little lost on how to target deeper and what to post on the timeline. I have no shortage of client images that I can post but I want to make the page more engaging than just using it to show off samples of my work.

Looking for useful suggestions, tips and/or resources to accomplish this. Also... is there a "Best Of" list of Warrior Forum posts someone new to Facebook marketing should read?

Please point me towards any tips, resources or tools that may help.

If you want photography clients, here is a simple system that should work well for you:
    1. Create your Facebook page using your name with photography or portraits in the name or with your company's name.
    2. Collect 10 to 100 pictures you have used with previous clients.
    3. Crop in your website, phone number, or other key conversion resource you want people to visit to order from you. If you take most orders through the phone, go with a phone number. If you do it with a website, do that. If you do it via email, put your email address. Make sure the data is cropped so that the 80% majority of the photo has no text on it.
    4. Make Facebook ads to people locally using ALL of these posts. You can just make one ad campaign for each post at $1/day or make a larger campaign with all of the posts in it. DO NOT simply "boost" the posts but actually advertise the posts to the entire local community. Often you will want to target more broadly than you might think. For example, target all parents or all people over 18 depending on how large your area is. The idea is to get opportunities that are not competitive.
    5. Continue doing this strategy every day. The longer you do it, the more people will see your posts repeatedly and contact you when they need your services.
