3 Simple Ways to Improve Your Facebook Ad
Facebook Ads are by far my favorite traffic source right now.
They are the fastest and most affordable ways to grow your subscriber list.
You could easily build your entire business around Facebook Ads.
I realize the Facebook reach for organic posts have gone down. But in terms
of building your subscriber list - Facebook ads are killing Solo ads right
now in terms of cost and results.
Plus, you get a very high-quality list of subscribers that aren't on 100 other lists.
We're currently generating leads for 60 cents per subscriber. We've added 700 new subscribers to our list since the beginning of the year. (So in about 8 days)
And those leads have already generated 6 sales with just a few follow-up emails.
So as you can imagine - I'm super excited to see what happens over the next 30 days as we continue to nurture the relationship and provide massive value.
But I thought I would share 3 keys that have allowed us to get a 3.24 CTR
and 60 cent subscribers...
1. Link post ads In the News Feed - Link post ads are killing it right now. Plus, with Facebook's recent changes, you're able to use a large image as well. (400px x 209px). So you're getting a lot of screen space inside the News Feed.
Which results in a much higher CTR than ads on the right-hand side.
2. Desktop Only. We've found that our ads are performing better on the desktop vs. mobile. You'll need to use the Power editor to target News Feed (desktop only)
3. Create an emotion-infused image for your ad. Faces work great here. But... make sure the face conveys some sort of emotion - surprise, happiness, sadness, fear, etc...
That one tweak will immediately boost your click-through rate.
And always send people directly to your squeeze page. Your first goal is to
build your subscriber list. If you want to convert them into 'fans' you can
always do that later. Get the lead first.
I personally link to a squeeze page on our own website (not within Facebook).
This is where we've had the best results.
Facebook ads are one of the main traffic sources that we're focusing on for 2014.
It's a prime time right now to build your audience (a.k.a your subscriber list)
using Facebook before the platfrom becomes saturated with advertisers.
I'm not sure how long the ads will be this affordable. Just like Google Adwords, my guess is that it will eventually get MUCH more competitive. And more competitors means higher prices.
So I'm personally going to take full advantage of this lead source now while it's hot and affordable
Cheers,
Kim
