How to get comments on my FB page?

Hi there!

I have a Facebook page dedicated to the artworks that I am working on together with a few freelance artists. Now I want to populate it with more content to make it look better overall. So I need comments on what people like in these artworks (or not), e.g. if you like colors or you recognize the place or if you want to have it on your wall, etc

Can someone recommend me what to do to make people comment on my FB page? This is a business page so I cannot join groups or post from on behalf of this page (only from my personal account)

PS: If someone interested I can do 10 comments and likes on your Facebook page in exchange for 5 yours on my page.

Thanks.
Michael

Do you have fans already? If you do, try running some sort of contest where you pick a photo or two and have people vote on them or leave a funny caption.

There's also the less-natural method of buying a five dollar gig and having someone leave comments, but I always recommend organic content.

Thank you for a good advice. Interesting.. This contest - is it like advertising? Do I need to pay for this?

    Here's what you need:

    Good content.

Here's how you go about it:

    1) Put a blurb about the content itself...make sure it's original/from the heart. Personalise it.

    2) Add an image (which I presume that you already do).

    3) If this is associated with a a site, then had the link in there. If you want to use an URL shortener like bitly, that would be great for tracking the clicks.

Start by simply asking your fans questions.
Take something art related (be it text or
an image) and ask your fans for opinions.

    If controversial, even better!

It's the natural way to get people commenting
    on your fan page.

The cheapest way is to spend couple of bucks on Fiverr.

I do agree the contest would help, but you need to consider your budget. No one is interested in no gift contest except your fans.

One thing you'll want to do is actually try to start a conversation with the people visiting your Facebook page. And, that assumes you already have steady traffic, but no comments yet. Talk with, not at the fans you are making updates to. Ask their opinion, using a casual tone. 'Hey, what do you think about this?' Maybe you would have success sponsoring a comment contest, asking fans of the page to critique the artwork. Anyone who really likes the page/artwork anyway is likely to take that next step to comment, just to get the coupon/discount or whatever it is you are offering.

Post great content, ask questions on your pictures, create contests..
Be sure to make it unique, I'm sure a lot of people won't comment on something that has been shared already a lot of times.
