Why imposter FB pages?
Looking into an online discounting business I was thinking of subscribing, I saw a second Facebook page starting up last month in their name with a Like graph showing a purchase of 5000 likes.
I asked the company about it and they claimed it was an imposter page that has stolen their name and artwork, thanked me for bringing it to their attention and have asked FB to take it down.
Yet the only information on this second Facebook page was a bit.ly link to a promotion page on the real company's website, so it looks more like a marketing exercise to me.
I can't think of why an imposter would create such a thing? Any ideas?
