So I have 150,000 Twitter followers and...

I have been able to make a nice profit from them using a now disbanded CPC company called "Opiniads".

Since then, nothing really has peaked my interest in pursuing, a 2 cent CPC is not doing it for me when I was used to 8-12 cents.

My traffic is high, on a nightly basis I can crack the top 20 most active Twitters in the world and I have an millions of impressions with thousands of retweets a night.

Basically my question is, with so much activity, I should be able to cash in right? 88% of my following are girls between 16 and 24.

Is Adsense the smart choice here? I am thinking about making a domain site, posting pictures (my account is country music/lifestyle based) and "blog" or "journal" entries and trying to drive traffic to the site using my Twitter following of nearly 150,000 people and growing.

Does anyone have any suggestion on maybe some different or some adjustments to my plan stated above?

I'm 21 and have made a pretty sizable amount online from the time I was 17 onward, enough to buy two cars. I just think I'm maybe sitting on a goldmine and it can be exploited for increased earnings.

Thank you in advance for any help. If the website is the way to go, I'll be looking for a developer.

It is definitely a good idea to set-up a website. A domain costs about 10 bucks a year and webhosting costs about 5 bucks per month. You can set-up WordPress for free and use a free WordPress theme.

A humour website with images might not be the best idea. Why don't you try CPA?

If it were me, I'd skip the "double jump" routine and sell tweets directly through a service such as SponsoredTweets or RevTwt.

At a point in time I had a twitter page with around 8K followers and I could sell a tweet for around $30 a pop. I have to imagine with 150K followers you could pull a couple hundred, per sponsored tweet easily.

I can elaborate on what I mean by "double jump" routine if you'd like

You can start to sell tweets if you are making a good engagements with your followers..

Building a websites is the best solutions. For starting, you can use blogspot or weebly. They are free. Make some post there, promote it on Twitter and you can strat getting traffic.

For monetise, you can start on your tweets. use tools like shortest in your tweets.
In your blog, you can use adsense, chitika, ppl, ppd, etc. You can even start to find some affiliate products..
There are so many ways to monetise your blog.

1- Websites can work -> You're looking at a lot of downtime, startup costs for a developer, and you're adding an extra step in between the user and the conversion point. Don't get me wrong they work, but there's a lot of tracking that needs to be done.

2- Like others said, it's very common for people in your position to sell tweets. It is a very realistic route to take and people do make good money doing it.

3- If you can find the right topic, MyLikes has worked for me in the past. You set up your account and you can make as much 25 cents per click depending on the niche. It's essentially like selling tweets but you're paid by the clicks rather than a flat rate - Something I'm sure you're familiar with. MyLikes is just nice because they actually have some pretty good rates.

That's just a couple of things I can come up with. I'd also consider establishing a facebook fan page, G+ page and a youtube channel for your twitter account. Doing so will allow you to find multiple areas to reach your followers and allow you to be connected with them more often.

      Best of Luck!

Does this actually work? I've seen it, but I don't know anyone personally who has had success with it. Which is the best service in your opinion and how often were you getting requests? For me, I'd set my prices low in order to gain more customers at first.

        1. I have a lot of time, I'm just in college so I have free time so that is not an issue. I'll look further into the costs of the site, I want it to be functional not just a site to gain revenue completely.

        2. Any suggestions on the best site for this?

        3. I forgot I had an account there, I just posted a Tweet that is 17 cents a click. Something I do is make a dummy account, I switch the username and picture very often, and I post ads via that account. This way I can retweet the ad, still make money, but get the clutter off my account by undoing the retweet. Something else I do is tell my followers I will follow anyone who "retweets" my ad, creating 300 or so retweets. I can make $500 + in an hour doing this method.

Thank you for you help and any further suggestions!

It's nice actually. I'm 21 so I've met a lot of girls from all over the US on it. Not a bad deal.
