No. Reddit is community monitored and they very rarely let anything remotely related to advertising slide through. Even if if does, that doesn't guarantee it'll get popular by any means.

I love Reddit, but it's not an appropriate place to grow a brand in my opinion.

    Cheers,
    Ben

As a regular redditor, I'd have to agree with Ben. It's rare that something like this would get a lot of attention on Reddit. People are quick to yell "blogspam" if you just post a link to your blog.

That being said, I think there are some categories that might work:

      Makeup
      Weight loss
      Fitness
      Dating/Pick Up
Gaming (if you could offer some sort of deal)
Pictures (if you had your own site like Imgur)

There may be others but you're not going to get anywhere without being an established member. Each sub-reddit has its own mods and they can ban you from the sub for any reason they'd like.
      Signature
      Native Advertising Specialist
      Dangerously Effective
      Always Discreet

What? I think a more honest response would be :"I have tried it and could not get results" or "I dont know how to do it"... I have been marketing on reddit for a long time withe excelent results, I have created an entire post about it here in the WF, click on my signature and see it yourself, nothing to buy there.

        Cheers.

I don't doubt you that you've seen success in the past. I'm just speaking from experience, as a Redditor. And I stand by my comments: you can't build a brand/ business on Reddit. Say you get away with posting weight loss articles in the /r/weightloss section. I bet you can't post a link to the same website more than 3 times without it being "suspicious".

Yes, it may be great that you got an influx of traffic from a post going semi-viral (something like 9K impressions when I looked at the post in your signature), but Reddit is no place to build a brand like you can do elsewhere with Twitter pages, or Facebook fan pages.

Reddit is kind of like a more modern StumbleUpon (who remembers the days way back when, when StumbleUpon was popular?). I would define both as "short term marketing techniques".

          All the best,
          Ben

I get a lot of traffic from it when I post a link to some content, but it is garbage 10 second traffic that never converts... and I find most of the people that comment on it to be obnoxious and profane so there isn't even much chance to start a dialogue with them to establish yourself as an authority on the niche.

I agree with Ben here - he's not specifically pointing at marketing, but rather building a brand. Reddit can be good for traffic, as many redditors may click on the links out of curiousity.
