Rinse and Repeat - 1,006 Fans in 3 Days

Hey everyone, I wanted to show you a quick case study of how I get over 1,000 fans to a brand new Facebook page for less than $20, and how this process can easily be replicated in any niche.

Here's how I built this fan page so quickly.. I created one campaign targeting football fans in the US, and another campaign targeting football fans around the world. These two campaigns were exactly the same in every other aspect, meaning they had the same images, headline, ad text, age, gender, and interest targeting.



Here's an image of the exact ad targeting I used on the campaign running to football fans in the United States. I targeted the ad to show only to people in the U.S., who were fans of the NFL or Madden NFL.

I targeted the ad to show to people in 13 different countries around the world, who were fans of the NFL or American Football (in many countries soccer is known as football, which is why I targeted American Football).

But here's the key in this ad that is being shown to people around the world... It doesn't do any good to have a page full of "likes" when they all come from people who don't even speak English. So when you're creating your ad to run to people in international countries, make sure you specify that you only want the ad to be shown to people in international countries that speak English.



This way the money you spend to get people to like your page won't go to waste, because these fans will understand the content you are posting to your page, and will be happy to like, share, or comment on your posts.

A majority of advertisers are spending money showing ads to people in the "top tier" countries, or the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada. So instead of trying to compete with every other advertiser in terms of getting your ad shown and the price you pay, start targeting your ads to people around the world, but make sure you specify that they speak English.



You can see in the image above, over the course of 3 days, the campaign targeting football fans around the world brought in 476 likes which cost $8.51, averaging $0.02 per like.

The campaign targeting football fans in the United States brought in 231 fans which cost $10.62, averaging $0.05 per like. This ad cost a little more per like because the traffic is coming from the United States. The other 293 fans are all from viral traffic.

As of today, my page is up over 1,600 fans, and I've spent just under $25.



Here are the key things to consider when creating your ads..

• Make the goal of your ad to get page likes
• Target countries around the world, but make sure you target English speakers only
• When choosing your bidding options, choose the "Optimize for Page Likes" option - this will give you the highest CTR and the most page likes

This process is easily replicated in just about every niche. I have easily grown pages for myself and clients in niches like IM, health, gaming, pets, and sports niches using this very method.
