People always ask how to get traffic on my website and blah blah. I like to answer of these questions.
Competition of internet marketing is rising day by day. Every business man wishes to appear on internet and wants more traffic on their websites. Here I am describing some SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SMO (Social Media Optimization) strategies which is helpful to raise traffic on websites.
1. Forum Commenting - Forum allows you to post a link in the signature back to your website for anyone who is interesting will notice and visit it. As an example some high PR SEO forum are listed here.

    We can also get a free blog using Wix. The difference compared to Wordpress is that, while Wordpress is an open source platform, Wix has a private development team and its codes are not available. With Wordpress, we have access to many plugins and other codes, which might be either very useful or rubbish, so its a matter of making the right choices. With Wix, the result of the codes is always guaranteed. One other advantage of Wix is that it is a WYSIWYG platform, contrast to Wordpress, where you need to view the effect of your changes.

    I think that those are the 2 best platforms to develop a blog, but the final choice of one of them depends on criteria that might be different for each blogger.

    Beyond that, get serious about giving. Practical tips work when you promote others freely, help them out and all good comes back to you because of karma.

    Those are all great tips that I can use right away. I am new here and to IM. Next to each comment under the writer's avatar is the number of "thanks" and "thanked". In many of the threads, I see something like this: "The Following User Says Thank You to USERNAME For This Useful Post:" How do I say thank you here?

    Its not like there is one push of a button formula you have to understand ins and the outs of the the internet.
    - Understand how SEO and keyword research works.
    -Understand how SMM works and how to drive traffic from them and convert them to engaging visitors.
    -Understant how to put and .. provide the content to your visitors.
    -Understand how to make people signed up for newsletters ...
    there are so many of them ... but still persistence is the key.... persist until you get it done.

    There are many ways to get traffic to website or blog. But easy and fast that i find is social marketing. From social marketing you will definitely get immediate traffic. That i use always for my website.

    In addition to all methods described in this thread, you can exchange or buy ad spaces from website or blogs related to your websites niche.

    Many high-low traffic websites prefer to sell their ad space for a fixed for a specific time frame (e.g. a week, month etc.) to generate stable income and fill their ad inventory.

    Just go to google image search and type 'buy ad space' or 'buy ad here' or 'advertise here' or any similar keywords to find website that are willing to sell their ad spaces

    This methods sometimes save lots of many compared to other PPC or CPM advertising if you've done it right.
