Using FB personal profile to link to product

Ok, I apologize in advance if this is a really stupid question, but I don't want to inadvertently break any of FBs rules, and I can't seem to find the info directly on their site.

I have a product (created by me) that I want to present to all my personal Facebook friends. The product is designed to go viral, so my hope is that they will share the link with their friends.

Can I share a link to my sales page on my personal Timeline without it breaking any rule? And if they end up sharing the link to their friends, will they be breaking any rules?

I'm thinking this should not be a problem, but I want to be 100% sure before I hit the "go" button.

    Yes that should be fine, Facebook ads just mean you want to promote it even more. They just don't like continuously spamming

      Yes you can. But you could just start a fan page for the product and invite your friends to like it, that way if you decide you want to runs ads for it later you will be set up to do so.

    I do it quite often and never had any issue.
    Don't over do it. If you are doing it naturally, then you should be fine.
