Social bookmarking doesn't really help as far as traffic, you want to get other people to bookmark and share your content through social media syndication or PPC, or other targeted real traffic methods. You can also run giveaways.

Well for me social bookmarking is helping in ranking my pages
Giving more authority so i guess Google gives more wight to my pages and they get high rankings

Mostly i have images + article style blog post, and i am only bookmarking to stumbleupon and pinterest
