No better than facebook page. this page will help you promote your websites. To get likes, you have to attract customers by good posts. Also put a like box in your website to engage with your customers.

Hmm, Well best way to manage your social media is first identify your audience, Prioritize suitable social networks, related product and culture, target influencers keep them in loop, analyze competitors, dedicate time, be frequent with your posts, get knowledge about ctr, measure roi on implemented strategies, always remember each channel as an individual entity, respond properly to your audience, Try to maintain your own game plan. Google+ twitter Facebook and linked-in all are important medias to focus on with.

Social bookmarking and network is easy way to build links to your site. You need to create profile on enormous on top 25-50 networks.

once you create those, then cross promote each other. Better say post a link on reddit and share that link to twitter and facebook.

By this way it works for social network strategy.

Start with HQ articles and posts
Users on social sites are there for fun, to spend their extra time in a nice way

So first thing you have to make sure that your article is interesting enough that users will love to share

For i have experienced that "Top 10 list" do very well with social media sites
Like :Top 10 best islands for spending vacations"
"Top 10 most beautiful architectural masterpiece around the world"
"Top 10 most powerful people in world" stuff like that

Then just start free sharing on stumbleupon, facebook and pinterest

it really depends what social network you are working on as they all have their own methods of working with.

but in general you would look to :

join groups that are in your niche -
make friends with users in your niche -
provide helpful information that will help users in your niche -
frequently post helpful topics

I agree with everything that was said earlier. The only thing I will add is that is that knowing
what to do is great but have the tools to do it is awesome.

Social Media strategy- posting, keeping up to date, monitoring, etc can all become very daunting. Here is a list of Tools to help You get the job done easily.

Presuming that You have social media profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and so on:

1. Use Scoopit and other curating platforms to find and share content
2. Use Bitly etc to shorten long and unsightly links
3. Use Tweetadder to find peeps in your niche
4. Use Hootsuite to post your weekly blogs across as many platforms as You want
5. Use google analytics to gauge how You are doing
6. Find at least 1 social media platform that's niche specific List of social networking websites - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
7. Have a freebie to give away to build your list
8. Have a newsletter
9. Similar to Hootsuite but free- Tweetdeck [not as versatile though ]
10. Use Twitterfeed to set and forget articles from article directories.

Best strategy for social networking is post attractive, useful and unique content regularly so that your users get new news every time.

You have to follow other people and discuss with others on different topics. Most important be responsive at Social Media. Whenever anyone ask question to you, reply them as soon as possible. If you like others post then appreciate them. This way you can show your visibility to others.
