Should I share and tweet each article or just a few?

Hello Warriors,

I have a sports website with a team of writers who submit articles a few times a day.

We publish anywhere between 1-6 articles per day.

Every 4-5 articles, I pick an Editor's Pick. I tweet the link to that particular article, and share it on my facebook page. So I am only sharing the Editor's Picks on twitter and facebook.

So I have a few questions:

1- Is it better to share only the Editor's Pick on twitter and facebook, or should I share every post?

2- Will sharing on social media multiple times a day annoy my followers? Or will they be happy to see updates multiple times a day?

3- If I share every post, how do I make any incentive for the Editor's Picks? The only difference is they get on the Editor's Picks section of our website.

Thanks.

Thanks to everyone for replying. Here is some more information, if it helps.

Most of our traffic comes from other news sites that link to us, not from social media. We only have a couple hundred followers so we are trying to grow in that regard.

So their articles are already getting traffic. We just want to know how much of it to share.

I don't yet have an email list.

I am just trying to find a balance between sharing and not annoying followers, while at the same time finding a way to make our Editor's Picks stand out in some way as an incentive.

Just tweet your best article, or an article that you think very usefull for your follower. But, as i know, twitter share is one of great social signal, it will make your post ge fast index by google...
the point is, just do it as natural..

Tweet and share every link you can. Your goal is to get social signals on as many good networks as possible.

Here is what you should do -

Share every post. But after some time, like 1 post every 4 hours. So, if they are six post they are gonna complete in 24 hours. You can use an app like, Buffer to do that.
It is said that an average post on Facebook is alive for 3 hours. So, that is why I said you to post every 4 hours (1 hour extra). Use hashtags to increase your reach.

Too many shares would annoy people if they are not much informative or if they are getting updates within an hour or so. So, give gaps in your updates.

You can put a newsletter signup form on your blog. And at the end of the day or week you can throw an email to each subscriber's inbox highlighting the editor's choice articles of the day or week, whatever you prefer.

I think that you should share every article because if you are not sharing every article then there are gonna be less people reading it which makes the article useless if no one is reading it. So, you should share everything. You can repeat the shares after a few days.

I would post each article. However, as ChattyPost mentioned, you should give gaps between updates. Also try adding more than just a title and link to your post. Have the link and a small headline or sentence that will draw in readers.

A bit of a double edged sword and I guess it will be trial and error. Ideally you want to share everything, however more importantly you others to share your content. So with that said better to share your top picks and build a loyal following and let them share your content. If you share and repost to much you are in danger of p***ing off your followers.

You should see the first effects of the many posts, how about a response from your audience whether increases or even decreases, another day you try to share one article alone and you observe how your audience response, from there you can tell which is better between the two .
