So here is what you should do (I do it and works really well): simply Reply to the Top Comment!
Here are a few rules:
- say something interesting that might get a lot of Thumbs Up as well
- reply on topic
- DON'T leave any links and don't promote anything
- DON'T say "Please visit my channel"
Just say something interesting and your comment will become visible to thousands of visitors that will watch that video and look in the comments area. And if they like what you said (and you have an attractive profile picture) they will visit your channel and maybe become a loyal subscriber.
