My Facebook and Twitter Pages NOT Getting Indexed on Google

I recently set up a facebook fan page and linked it to a new twitter account I also activated.

I do not wish to do anything with these pages except to get the onto google so when people search for me they find them that way. In other words these will not be used to market or to make money for me, just to help me with branding.

I set the pages up about 2 weeks ago and they are still not coming up when I do a google search for the name I set them up with.

How can I get them to show up?

Should I just buy "likes" for each page or backlinks or both.....or is there some other way to get them indexed?

    Google does not put much rank on a Facebook page. Its unlikely Google will ever rank the fan page very high.

      I am not trying to rank for a competitive keyword.....my keyword is my name and the name of my company. even when I type them in followed by the words facebook or twitter I still see nothing.

    generally we can use the Facebook for SMO of particular site, blog etc because we can improve our page rank on Google by increasing back links, traffic also.

    Build Links to the Page
    Just like you have to build links back to your website or blog, you have to secure links to your Facebook page as well. -

    And you need to engage your facebook page by posting different Photos and Relevant Content.

    Not only your page will be indexed in the Google.

    You will get Rank for your Keyword , ( If u used in the fb page )

      You also need engagement in your facebook page inorder to rank. Also insert your facebook page in every website where you make your company profile.

    get the minimum number or required "likes" to your fan page, as well, so that it becomes a community page, and change the URL from a # into your chosen keywords
