Facebook Boosted Post..... ?

So over the past couple of weeks I have been playing around with boosted post. At times I have had success, at other times not.

I was wondering if the duration of the boost will affect how many people see the boosted post.

If I pay $10 to boost a post with a potential reach of 2000-4000 people and set the boost to expire in 24hrs, am I really getting the same amount of advertisement/exposure that I would if I set the boost to expire in X amount of days ?

Here is my thinking and maybe I am wrong. If I target 2000-4000 people, and only 500 of them login to facebook and see the boost during the 24hr period, am I selling my self short? If I had the boost set to expire in X amount of days, is it not possible that instead of just 500 seeing the boost, that maybe 1500 would login to facebook and see it ?

    People who like your Page and their friends or People you choose through targeting ?

    I think from both options it really depends on how much they are logged in to Facebook. It's just Facebook is putting your post to their time line for them to see and click it.

    Actually it is not the idea i think.

    In my homepage, i see several promote post by Facebook(booted post)

    Which has no liked or activity with me or my friends.

    I think Facebook send your page to your country user who has log on to Facebook up to 24 hours.

    Facebook must reach your page as the promised people.

    It is depends on people choice, it they like your page or not. Thus, you got different result.

    I would always advertise via google as you get more for your money to a targeted audience.

      Using the boosted post usually gets disappointing results however you use it. If you try creating post ads, you often can have much more control and get much better results compared to using boost post. You can reach people that have no friends connected to your page and avoid people that are likely to unlike a page after it boosts a post.

    Boost post usaually don't give the results we desire. The best way is to create a dark or unpublished post from Power editor and target people from there. It will work well.

    I tried boosted post yesterday. Chose US in the location options. However, while it was running I was getting likes from people from Turkey.
