No site, no blog, no list, no solo ads --- just YouTube videos?

Are many of you making good money off solely creating youtube videos and putting affiliate links in the description? (We'll, masked links anyway). I just bought CPA Bully which is 100% YouTube based and I'd love to know if any of you are having success with this?

If so, are you making a living? If you would share earnings that would be awesome! Are there any other places you suggest I get info on profiting off youtube affiliate videos?

Also, do you suggest waiting for videos to rank or running Adwords video campaigns for "buy related" keywords?

I only want to make videos. No sites, lists, blogs, etc.

Thanks!

Mike

Hi airwolfe777, Youtube traffic is best for CPA, especially offers in the entertainment not commercial, For example: free iphone 6, ipad,.. people searching mainly for fun or something free. So ads would cost tons of money.

Keyword ranking is better for long term. Build an authority youtube channel and outsource video and build link yourself, youtube videos are easy to rank with even dirt low quality links.

    Hi Mike,
I´m not selling directly off youtube but linking videos back to sites... However, I believe Josh Zamora is big into this stuff, if you know of him? He operates a blog at Zamoraiblogger.com and may be worth checking out to see if that's of any use.

Also, there's been a few WSO's offered on here recently about getting Videos to rank quickly but the names escape me! Try a JV Zoo search to see what products there are and then see if there's any proper reviews, so you can get a feel for whether it's worth investing another 10 bucks or whatever..?

Hope that helps - sorry can't be more specific!

Cool, I'm not going to outsource video production. I actually make $4500 a month on fiverr selling my videos. I'm a fiverr super seller - but I just shut my gigs off. I want to make residual income, not keep making videos for clients with no post sale profit.

I went to zamaraiblogger thanks! Looks like some good info. I plan on making separate channels like a health channel and I will literally make a video for every market health product. Then a golf channel, etc etc. I can't do amazon because I'm in Colorado.

I might try Adwords for keywords that will convert like "buy herpes treatment" not something like "what is herpes?"

Figuring out affiliate marketing is like a freakin puzzle with 20 missing pieces. There's so much mis-information, so many Wsos that just want to make money but don't give you the full secret to their success. After all, why would someone who is making thousands of dollars a month share their secrets?

If you are going to make youtube videos, it takes ALOT OF VIEWS AND SUBSCRIBERS to make money. My friend has about 10,000 subscribers and he barely makes anything. Youtube isnt designed to be a money making platform and is very difficult to make pennies and dimes. If I were you, I would make youtube videos AND have a website. When people go to your youtube videos. Their initial intention is not to buy, it is to watch a video. And it is very hard to get them into the buying mood. So have a website and gain trust with people on youtube and promote your site to them.

Yes, that's why I only want to use "buy keywords". For example if I made a video to target the term "buy nike sumo driver" or "best price nike drivers" people who type this in, want to buy. Considering youtube is the second biggest search engine, it's conceivable that many people search for products to buy. I would never try to sell a product in a video entitled "how to make a sand shot" because very low percentage of that search want to buy clubs.

    Hi Mike,

I know this isn't what you want to here, but it is something you should know. Having your own site wil greatly increase your results.

One, linking directly to an affiliate program may look spammy. And you can't link directly to Amazon.

More importantly, YT has a feature that lets you add clickable links in the videos themselves, but only if you "associate" your own site with YT.

Being able to put a link directly in the video will greatly increase your clickthrough rate, as opposed to only having a link in your video descriptions.

Yes. But us bought a URL from name cheap, can't I use that URL? Name cheap allows me to forward directly to these landing pages. After all any landing page I make won't be nearly as good as the ACTUAL products landing page, right? Can't I add that URL I bought?

I think you can also add clickable links by entering the video just one time into an Adwords campaign. I did this and linked it directly to a draftstreet affiliate link and when I ended the campaign the link still worked. So technically I could just activate a video via Adwords, post the link on the actual video and shut down the campaign. Right?

Won't work with YT's associated sites. You need to upload a verification file to your site.

Yes, you can. However, these will only display in the over-lay where the ads are displayed. With clickable annotations, you can make the links as big as you want, place them any where you want on the video and use any graphic/text you want.

You can get a domain name at Namecheap for $10 (or cheaper if they have a sale, or get a .info) and hosting is a couple of bucks a month. How many extra clicks to you have to generate to make this a good investment?

I don't think it would matter where the link was as long as it was on the video. Would someone be less apt to click because it's on the bottom? Maybe the do mentally "block those ads out". If it was just one site I had to make I'd happily make it, but I want to do supplements, golf, farm equipment, tools, electronics, etc. then I'd have to make a ton of sites.

You don't need hosting on name cheap to forward URL. So I made one general URL and I can link up to 200 sub-urls to as many product landing pages as I want. So I'd buy a general URL like HealthTips.info and the I'd make up to 200 sub urls. Like wartremoval.healthtips.info. And then herpescure.healthtips.info and so on. Each one of these would link to the products landing page.

So you're going to set up an ad campaign for every niche/topic just to get inferrior results?

Or, you could get a generic domain name and hosting and simply create folders instead of sub domains:

          genericdomain.info/WartRemoval
          genericdomain.info/golf

You could use subs with associated YT sites, but I think you would have to go throught the association process for each. However, this probably isn't any more difficult than setting up an Adwords campaign for each niche, and is likely even easier.

You seem to have given this idea a lot of thought. So I won't say there is no way to earn like this. I'm sure someone is actually earning just using Youtube. And, I know this was a very popular style of earning money some years back. I don't know how relevant this Youtube method of marketing is (without support of a list or blog) as it's been over done by affiliate marketers. Another thing you risk is being shut down by Youtube for being overly commercial or promoting products. If you are willing to do all that work and face the risk then you should go for it as this could be a very good way to earn.

I thought the reason for buying the URL is so I won't get banned? I thought posting direct affiliate links was the reason for banning. If my URL is masked, there'd be no reason to ban me for adding a link. I see plenty of direct affiliate links as it is, why they aren't banned I don't know.

Creating videos on YouTube is a great way to get traffic but I would not rely on it for the make money online niche.

Just too many people got their accounts and videos deleted.

Other niches, I would go with YouTube marketing and also other marketing avenues.

If that's true then all those "YouTube Wsos" and tube marketing ebooks are all fluff or false info. Plus my niche won't be MMO - it will be whatever the products niche is, ie. golf drivers, herpes treatment, etc.

You can rank videos on Youtube extremely fast for relatively cheap for any number of keywords regardless of views, likes, and such.

I teach people how to do this all the time the way my mastermind group and I do in contests against each other.

To reach the front page is actually very easy. Type in lead generation companies in a Youtube search and my name (Michael Schinella) is there not too far down and that's on $25 fiverr gig for SEO.

I optimized it a month ago and it had 6 views.... it started on page 4 and hit page 1 in 10 days (gig took 7).

I know people do it using only youtube, but still one should have a site because it's not always easier to rank videos, and list building is also important to keep the buyers with you.

I completely agree about the need for a website. Also true that ranking videos may not be easy forever the same way tons of spammy backlinks now fail SEO.

I will say though that having subscribers to your youtube channel equates to building a list. You can engage your subscribers much in the same fashion, if not better, on Youtube than through traditional email.
