There are two methods : Free and Paid

Free : Follow other peoples or boards (niche related). So that they can follow you back
Upload Attractive Images as a Pin
Target your website in source section.

Paid : There are lots of websites which are offering increase Pinterest Followers. You can contact them and buy them by spending money.

Yes, following is the only way to get some true and targeted followers. I don't have such good experiences with paid services to get their followers. Once I paid, but I got a bunch of empty accounts or even non-existing users.

Be active on Pinterest and publish great stuff there.

Pinterest gives you unique opportunity , you can access followers of others through group boards,
Like a community where anyone can join with permission of owner of that group board

you can find group boards in your niche using this term

Replace KEYWORD with your's

  I really think pintrest is a good platform for getting traffic to your site, If you give them interesting content and things they want. These days I'm working on my casino affiliations (mainly Caesarscasino.com) Hope I get my times worth from this.

I feel like there is really no need to go for paid method as it is possible otherwise to get traffic. All you have to do is to be active on Pinterest and follow people of your niche and let others follow you with interesting content. Pin the interesting pictures from your website so that you can get direct traffic. As they say a picture is better than 1000 words. Explore more and more to get best out of it.

Pin useful and content and images related to niche, try to pin your own content,
always put proper descriptions in your pins and include your blog adress,
