Can you post affiliate links on FB?

What I mean is, when you create and pay for an ad, are you allowed to post an affiliate link that goes directly to a sales page, or do you HAVE to send them to a squeeze page or website.

Anyone have any luck sending directly to a sales page?

    Of course you can.

It tends to be that conversions are much lower on Facebook because it's cold traffic ( if your audience isn't properly targeted, of course)

Capturing email addresses and then sending them to offers works well too.

    I recommend doing both!

I have been wondering about this question for myself as to whether or not straight hoplinks were allowable in Facebook ads. But, as you say, with cold traffic, (such as sending someone to an affiliate site straight off an ad), the conversion rate will be extremely low or not as good as if you send to a squeeze page and get them to sign up for follow up emails.

You can post affiliate links, but as others are saying; Conversion tends to be poor. I do not have a whole lot of practical experience to back this up, but on the tests we have done, we got much better conversion through a landing page tailored to visitors coming through FB ads, than to send them directly to the affiliate link.

      Hi,
      Dating ads are not dead
but dating ads are not accepted by face book at this time.
I think they are still woking on a policy for dating ads.

    Agreed with James!

Capture that user information, build a list, warm up your traffic to see optimal results. I'm huge on free marketing methods; builds trust, pronto. Or at least more quickly than through paid methods where you're playing a numbers game with cold leads.

    All the best!

Facebook doesn't allow the use of affiliate links. You would need to send them to a landing page first. Anyway, it's always best to send them to a landing page and capture their email first before sending them to your affiliate link right?

This is incorrect, and if you've been marketing on Fb it would be quite obvious to see that millions of aff links are posted daily on fb...

If you don't know the answer to a question, then please don't try and take a "shot in the dark" at the answer.
