Interesting Fact:Why post got shared not being re-shared.

Hi all,

I would like to start a discussion about the topic.
My page has 440k fans and very active, I have average 40k talking about. What I found out was the re-shared rate from the friends of my fans are extremely low. But the likes and comments are seems fine.
Here is an example:

I shared a post and my fans and it gets 7k likes, 160 comments and shared for 953 times. Those are organic.
And here is what i got from viral: 1.8 likes, 694 comments and "12 shares".



Yes, ONLY 12 shares. I have check many post of my and it all has similar result.:confused: So, I got this huge question mark, Why?

Hopefully someone experienced could point it out for me or we could discuss why this is happens.

    Could you tell us what niche you're in? Maybe your content is what people love but what they won't usually want to show up at their timeline

    i think it's simple . The fans of you liked your page because they are interested . The friends of them may have no interest in that topic whatsoever .
    I have the same amount of likes and the stats are similar to yours.
    450k likes - 100k talk about it.
    So don't worry

    You would think the share ratio would be better, you will always get less shares than likes by a lot though, but thats a big difference

    Like mentioned, friends of fans don't care about your fan page topic. So, they don't share. People only share stuff they want others to see them associated with. If it's not a topic they are adept to, they don't share.

    Fans of your page are closely knit to the niche though... so they don't mind sharing and letting their friends see.

    Clicking LIKE or commenting on something doesn't expose the association like Sharing.
