Facebook Ads Promoting Affiliate Links

This has to have been covered in the past but I want a fresh take on this subject:
Can I promote affiliate links directly through Facebook Ads? I have never submitted a Facebook Ad but I know that they don't like taking traffic off of Facebook, should I just use this to promote a fan page? Should my Ads be directed to a squeeze page to grab emails? Then directed to my Affiliate offer? I know...a lot of questions.

I am very new at IM but I finally made my first dollar($8 actually) today with it, through my blog and amazons affiliate program! Any help is appreciated! Thanks WF!

I think I answered a question very similar to this just yesterday... but generally, direct linking from a FB ad direct to an affiliate product such as one on Clickbank CAN be done, but you're also risking your account.

There are people who are making it work... but there are people who are doing it and then getting their accounts banned.

So it's risky... anything risky, I'd rather not get into... FB is such a powerful traffic source that you want to figure out how to make it work THE RIGHT WAY... the way that they approve of... but even then, you're not guaranteed to keep your account... so just be careful.

Always communicate with them, email them about offers you're wanting to run, sales funnels you're wanting to promote, etc. Get their approval before running ads if you're unsure.

What we like to do regardless if it's an affiliate product or not, is to direct FB ads to a squeeze page or landing page of some sort.

No it is too difficult from Facebook for promoting affiliate links as at some extend Facebook consider that link as spamming, so you can try some any media like YouTube.

        I've been promoting nanacast, infusionsoft
and dealguardian links without cloaking the
links and I have zero problems with them.

With Clickbank I never get the ad approved,
the only thing that you can do is to create
a fanpage and then use woobox or leadpages
to create a re-direct tab that goes to a landing page,
and after they opt-in with their email they get
        redirected to the sales page.

I have tried direct linking clickbank and markethealth affiliate links on facebook but to no avail. They said, your link can't be accepted because our community has reported it as spammy. I mostly built traffic from facebook ads directly to my squeeze pages, after opting in, then then are redirected to my affiliate link
