Ways to grow FB pages for legit businesses?

I havent really tried to grow a FB page for white or blackhat purposes

Can you follow people that might have an interest in your page and then hope they will Like your page? I know this is something you can do on Twitter but doesnt FB have a policy where they can ban you page if you do this?

Somebody aware me if this works or not....or some other ways that you can grow a FB page for legit websites (if it is it black hat method it has to have very minimal risk of getting a page banned).

    I cannot see why you cannot follow them. Whether that makes much difference I wonder.

    FB Ads are still the best way. Get them OFF Facebook to your email list so you can survey them, upsell, cross sell, downsell and connect with them in various places.

    That way, any algorithm changes become somewhat inconsequential.
