FB Traffic> Landing Page> Webinar

18 replies
I was wondering if you think this would work or not.

*Before I start, I'd like to address the fact that many people will tell me to 'build a list' and promote the webinar through the list. I am already aware of this but I am asking a different question.

So would 'cold traffic' that is a little more warm though a landing page sales copy and straight to a webinar with lots of free content and sales pitch at the end convert?

FaceBook (custom audience) Traffic> Landing page with sales copy> Webinar with free content and sales pitch at the end.

I obviously know that it would convert better with list through an entire funnel and good relationship but I kinda just wanted to see if I could make some quick cash with straight up FB traffic to a webinar (affiliate) and see if I could make some decent money. Thoughts?

    Hello,

    I'd like to say yes it absolutely would work...i'm actually in the middle of working on a video where I encapsulate 40+ images of "suggested posts" from my feed that direct me to a lander to sign up for a webinar...no pre-existing relationship with these people...

    I'd have to say with as much as i SEE it ...it has to be working.

    But there's only one way to know for sure right ?

    So I know that a good webinar can achieve conversion rates of 10%-40% is that only on really warm traffic like traffic that is in a list or can this still be achieved on the method I described

    Heck, it's worked ON me. Afraid I don't know what a good conversion rate would be though.

    You need to understand that cold traffic isn`t cold anymore once it passes a landing page. People that read your landing page and still want to participate @ the webinar aren`t cold at all. So this could work of course. Cold traffic is when you send facebook users to your webinar directly.

    Absolutely this would work... now get on it

    But here's what we do...

    We use leadpages or any other squeeze page where you can integrate a webinar/opt in funnel... meaning, it's a webinar registration page OR just an opt in page where you collect leads... when someone inputs their email into the form to either subscribe to your list OR to sign up for the webinar, what will end up happening is that they end up opting into your list, while at the same time registering them for the webinar.

    So it's a 2 in 1 type of solution.

    My web guy handles all of this, but I believe leadpages has this capability.

    This is they way I would go because you're getting the opt in as well as the registration for the webinar.

    Hi
    I suggest you to use a Facebook iframe tab with the reveal option, so that people who likes your sales page, gets immediete acess. And also put an option where they can leave FB comments and share your Facebook page.

    You need an Amazon S3 free account to make things easier though as Facebookk pages ion iframe demands a secured site which starts withhttps://. You can host all your videos there too.

    Its said that a Facebook like is more valuable than a email subscriber, because its got the viral factor to it too.

    You can see how i do it here for an upcoming project of mine.

    Hey guys, I feel like I'm on a pipe dream here. I feel like this is way to easy than it should be, and it probably is so please bring me back to reality cause I must be missing something.

    Here is a scenario:

    Facebook traffic> Landing Page w/ small sales copy and button for them to click to immediately be re-directed to Webinar Replay (not live)> Webinar

    -Facebook Traffic= 100 visitors @ $1 a visitor
    -Landing Page has a CTR of 50%
    -Webinar= 10% conversion @ $97 product.

    100 visitors are driven to landing page> 50 go through to webinar > 5 people purchase the product (10% conversion) @ $97

    Revenue= $485
    Cost= $100

    Profit= $385

    So, again, I must be missing something obvious here because I really don't believe that those results are real because it seems too easy.

    Feel free to bring me back down from my pipe dream and hit me with some reality, thanks.

    this model can work extremely well if:
    a. you get a good cost per registrant from FB (anything under $2 in my experience works well) as well as the quality of leads which will come down to your targeting and ads on FB
    b. you get average rate of attendance. my experience is around 20 to 30% and usually in the middle
    c. of those, another 20% purchase
    let's say that you have 1000 leads at $2,000.
    then 250 show up.
    then 50 people buy
    so you would only need a $40 product to break even not to include backend sales
    and i know a lot of people do products that cost $500-$1500 (though at lower conversions)

    you can also use the model for recurring revenue if you're a service business

    ultimately you'll need to test and know your numbers.

      Actually I am not doing a registration.

      I am letting them access the webinar straight from the landing page. They click through the landing page and it takes them straight to the webinar. Thoughts?
