Dealing with Facebook ads

Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I tried submitting this ad campaign, which has run successfully in the days prior to this, and out of nowhere, it was declined.

Is someone messing with me or what?

Would I be correct in assuming you're using custom audiences?

Heaps of other people (myself included) have been getting that exact message when trying to create ads using ANY custom audience.

Yes, it's a custom audience. So if that's the reason why don't they just say so! I would just put together another campaign instead.

Is there a thread discussing this? I just joined here today because of this.

You're right, I just made a similar campaign, targeting people who like the page that was set up, and their friends. It was approved.

Unfortunately, the potential target says only 1000, although with a scraper the list is significantly larger (using graph search "friends of people who like this page")

I never had great results with facebook ads. I started advertising by the click when they first started their advertising program and instead of getting better it seems to have gotten worse as far as results obtained. here is a mostly recent article on Why Facebook Is Failing Marketers: http://info.klout.com/rs/klout/image...gMarketers.pdf
I dont recommend facebook for advertising, while you can target seemingly well, there is a reason that facebook ads are typically cheaper than other ads, they just dont deliver decent results, at least it never has for me. While I spend a lot of time on facebook it really isnt for marketing for me. I also dont know anyone who has been that effective with getting decent results from facebook.

Now Google, thats another matter, while I am a google publisher and collect my google checks, I would rather get paid per click from google instead of paying them per click, but one thing is for sure about google it gets results, yeah it sucks but it works well, I know folks that spend over a million a year on google ads, yeah its huge advertising cost, but when 1 million in google ads achieves 2 million+ in yearly sales, it is worth it if you figure that without the 1 mil in google ad fees there would have not been over 2 million in gross sales.

I dunno I have made about 20X my ad expense so far with this campaign, so I am not ready to give up yet

If they stop custom lists, I might have to though. Because last time I tried a non custom list, I ended up with a bunch of pakistani and indonesian followers and likes.

Expected to happen when people want to sell FB UID extractors for 17 bucks... Maybe next time they'll price it higher to preserve the resource....

Right now stay away combining CA's with Teespring. Facebook is getting really hard on that.
I already got my account restricted 5 days ago, but anyhow managed to activate it again.

Try interest targeting with teespring. I have already started that and getting result.(Not great as what I was getting from CA's)
