Facebook has blocked all Clickbank affiliate links! WTF?!

So far I did great by sharing Clickbank affiliate links on my Facebook page (along with cool images and descriptions) and it happened just once to not be able to post a link, because it belong to a certain vendor that was blocked by Facebook.

All good until today when I tried to add a new post, and Facebook says this:

"The content you're trying to share includes a link that our security systems detected to be unsafe:

  • hop.clickbank.net

Please remove this link to continue."

Does this happened to you too? Does Facebook really blocked all affiliate links to Clickbank? I mean wtf...this is a huge decision that will affect a lot of marketeres!

It was bound to happen sooner or later wasn't it? Facebook wasn't built to be a personal little free marketing platform for IMers.

What's the point of having a sig if no one buys from you?

Won't bother me if they are. I took the Teespring concept, modified it a bit, and moved it to my own site. So unless Facebook bans all ecommerce merchants/sites, I think I'll be okay.

For a link FB deemed to not be safe, they wouldn't allow me to use it, so I tried 3 different URL shorteners and each time I was denied. I used Bitly, Goog and tinyurl, all no good. I even tried shortening a shortener to another shortener. LOL!

            Didn't work for me.

            ====================

If I were to do it again, like let's say I did have a Clickbank product, instead of using that link, I would create a link to another page that invites people to click the CB link that's there.

Now it seems that the is the only way to get your Tee Spring links to Custom Audiences to run is to use tradition page post engagent. Working fine though, all my ads approved.

I already have another work around option ready when they block that one if they do. This work around I don't believe they will be able to stop.

You need to cloak your links.

The problem was that you submitted

    the raw affiliate link.

Even though FB is cracking down on affiliate's, this is an easy fix.

All big platforms like Adwords and Facebook tend to make it harder on affiliates. That's because, 99% of the affiliates, do a terrible job in promoting and/or promote low quality products and services

I still wouldn't direct link clickbank links on Facebook.

    Clickbank is a different animal.

It's not your product, so if they were ever to request that you make changes to it, you're gone.

    I learned from Google.

The only time direct linking is OK is when the product is yours and you've got a UNIQUE URL... otherwise, I wouldn't risk it.

Best to buy your own domain and redirect <--- a very simply process and you're in control of the front-end process.

    Yes Dear

This is something which is against the TOS of Facebook and I would just suggest that just do not check it again as it might ban the account now.

    Take care!

Interesting. I wonder if they would allow it via their advertising platform. I suspect this is what they are trying to get you to do. If you get decent conversion rates it might be a good idea, actually.

Although you should send that traffic to your own site. Don't link directly to an affiliate page.
