Facebook Measuring Shares to Reduce Spammy Posts

Facebook says it is taking action to eliminate spammy posts by not showing posts asking for a like or share, and using sharing stats to identify and eliminate spammy posts with external links:

    Good move, I guess....although, what's wrong for asking for a share? Especially if the content is awesome? I for one know asking for a call to action increases your shares mightily, on any social network. Either way, they set the rules

      You could always put "Share" somewhere within the picture...

      Unless of course, Facebook has a way of detecting that, too
