Facebook Ads - Huge drop-off

Hi All,

I've been running Facebook ads for some time now, and have never had anything like this happen. I advertise for a construction business who specializes in home remodeling. I started running their ads in late January. Their website clicks jumped remarkably in February. We went from about 5 clicks per day to approximately 45 clicks per day. As soon as we moved into mid-March, the clicks started to taper off drastically. I'm now seeing 5-7 clicks per day.

My question is, without having changed the ads, why has this happened? I'm seeing a lot about how Facebook is changing the way that ads are displayed, etc. Could this have had something to do with this drastic drop-off?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Facebook controls the number of people your ads get shown to. So it might be because of that

I'd need to know more about your targeting, reach, and frequency. Are you using the same ad? Are you changing up your graphics? Has your target audience become "ad-blind" to your ad?

There are LOTS of reasons that could explain the tapering off but I would only be guessing without seeing the whole picture.

It's just a guessing game as another poster said... and another thing to consider is if you look back to when you were first getting about 5 clicks a day (before the 45 clicks/day), and to now, where you went back to around 5 clicks a day, if everything is the same such as; ctr, frequency, reach, etc. then it could just be "that time of the year" where many people in your target location are looking for those specific types of services... it does happen.

In one of my offline businesses, sales tapers off a bit in December because of "that time of the year" but we don't let that be an excuse... that time of the year for this business we ramp up the marketing, the reach and we target wider and farther to keep the numbers up.

So some things to think about.
