Success of Facebook ads for non-Facebook pursuits

Any time I've paid for facebook ads, I've had two separate issues.

1) Facebook gives the number of people who clicked through the ad to the page it linked to....But my google analytics gives me a different number. Can I trust facebook?

2) The number of click throughs is always extremely low. It seems that people on facebook are only interested in all things facebook.

Anyone have any success using facebook ads to take people away from facebook?

    I heard facebook analytics can be inaccurate sometimes. I would probably trust google analytics more than facebook analytics

    1) Yes, you can trust Facebook on number link clicks. I've run many FB campaigns and had stats difference only a few times. Btw - Try testing one more time using other tracking software or service (Bit.ly, MyclickBoss, Clickmeter...)

    2) It's all about right targeting and custom audience interested in your link. I'm currently running campaign with 7%+ CTR.
