Can I set up a separate Facebook account?

Hey Warriors --

We all have Facebook accounts that many of us use to build FB pages for marketing, etc.

Now I find myself in an awkward situation where I need to set up a second totally separate Facebook account not in my name but using by business email lile Bill@GreatGadgets.com.

This second account I would use just for business and of course setting up lots of pages for marketing, etc..

I just need some kind of solution when/ if some one I am close with asks to login to my Facebook account he/ she would not be able to see all my FB business messaging etc.

LONG story there folks ...

Can I do this? Completely separate FB accounts with a different credit card?

I would still HAVE to use same billing adress as my Facebook profile.

any insights here would be greatly appreciated!

Of-course, you can create a separate FB account. No problem is there.

Looks like you will have different name (your business name) than your personal one to set up new account and also different credit card, that one seems to be fine.

If you have the same credit card information (your name) as the previous one, then you need to take some cautions. I had someone using the same technique but had the same name and billing address on both credit cards and his account got banned. Though normally facebook wouldn't be tracking all these information for normal accounts but if any issue come up in future on any of your fan page, face book might look into all your info and if they find you are having 2 accounts, then they might create problem for you.

I would suggest you to use completely separate billing address if you are going for 2nd account.

Your IP address may also raise a flag. What you are trying to do goes against FB's TOS.

Just wondering -- assuming you are not a corporate "entity" -- if there's a problem with setting them up the regular FB TOS compliant way:

1)Set up pages through your one allowed "personal" profile BUT during the set up DO NOT click that you want to "share" that page on your profile page.

2)Also always post AS your Page accounts while doing business on your "pages" and not as "you", your "profile" account.
