Facebook Ad Experts, I Need Your Help and Advice...

I'm looking to advertise on Facebook, but I want to mainly use Post Engagement Ads. I'm looking at doing these in different markets from weight loss to Internet Marketing to other various health niches.

But what I'd like to do is keep my personal Facebook account separate from everything else.

I guess I'm a bit confused on how I can setup these types of ads. I've done the basic PPC ads on FB that are on the right column no problem. But Post Engagement Ads confuse me a bit.

Can someone explain this to me or give me some insights on how to make these work? What do I need to get them going exactly?

Thank you!

I'm guessing I have to setup FB pages to do this? If so, does this have to be done under my personal account or can I keep them separate?

Usually it does have to be under your personal account. But, many people set up another Facebook account for business ventures. I think it against facebook TOS to have multiple accounts, but folks do it anyway and I have not heard of anyone having problems.

Luckily for me I don't really use my facebook account for personal stuff so it is easier for me to set up my fanpages.

I wonder if there is a way to setup FB Pages under my personal account, but have them private so friends are not aware of them. That way I can keep business and personal separate. That would be ideal, but I think a separate account would almost be better.

Anyone else create multiple accounts for this purpose?

They will be seperate, you simply select "use facebook as pagename" instead of your personal account. Your friends will not be able to see anything, just make sure you are always posting as your page and not you.

No need for a separate account

You have to set up a FB Page with your personal account. It IS against FB TOS to have more than one account and if they find out you have, at worst, they will close them both down, or at best, ask you to make one into a fan page.

You can post as your page name, rather than as 'you', though your name will be linked as administrator for the page.

But will friends in my personal FB account be aware of my Pages and the posts? I want to keep them private for marketing purposes.

I also wanted to try the facebook ads and post engagement to sell my products but when I heard about accounts getting closed, I am not so sure anymore.

Does everyone who uses these facebook ads gets their accounts closed?
Is it so easy to break their rules?

is there a facebook product or even an article that explains all this in a simple manner?

you can build a facebook page for your business that is "added" to your personal account. they are kept separate so one doesn't know about the other

Just remember not to add your friends to the pages.

Anything you do on that ads or marketing side (fanpage creation, etc.) by default, your friends or anyone you're connected to won't know a thing. So create as many different, and odd pages as you'd like.

As for ads, all objectives work, but my advice is to really figure out what your objective is, and then to choose the right one.

      • My art ('business') facebook account is separate from my personal account. I have a 'person' with the page under its name. I haven't had any problems, but if you make or use multiple accounts on the same IP they will make you do phone verification (one number per account).
