Basic Facebook Queries

so I have a few basic queries having setting up my fan page a couple of days ago.

1) when I post the text seems to be quite big. Maybe size 14 and my posts are being truncated.

Is that ok from a marketing point of view since not all of my post is visible?

So far I have put up a couple of top tip posts. Are they popular on facebook? I know they are for blogs.

Is there a way to make the writing smaller so that more of the text is visible? I have seen fan pages with much smaller text.

2) I added a cover photo and this change is public. Is there a way that I can remove it?

    Not sure about the text size, it's normally a standard set size...Are you copying and pasting from a word processor or your website first?

    For the cover photo there will be a little arrow on the right of the post where you can click "Hide from page".
