I saw a large and sudden increase on Google+

I experienced a large increase seemingly overnight for my Google+'s. It went from 12 to 96! I have not done any promoting or hiring of services. I do have the button up on my site. It did not correspond to any serious traffic spike (I only get 10-30 hits per day) but it is the kind of site that can go viral.

Any explanation for this? Can provide URL in PM if interested.
