Using facebook to drive traffic to wso.

Hi folks,
I have seen a few ads on facebook that leads straight to a wso.
What I want to know is if it is worth it.

The wso forum traffic isnt doing much
because there are so many wso's being posted
it only stays on the first page for a few hours.

What do you guys think?
Have any of you used it for your wso's?
Is that allowed on facebook?

    I've never personally used it for WSO's, but I'm sure that it does better than the natural traffic you get from that section - as you said, you can't expect to be on the first page for very long anymore.

    Yes I have also seen some ads on Facebook. I wasn't much aware about Facebook ads But it helped me to know little about Facebook Ads.

    It CAN work, however, I would be hesitant in sending traffic direct to a site without taking control of the front-end process (domain). When you're not in control of the website, such as those with affiliate products, then if/when a change needs to be done, you can't make that change.

    The WSO url you get IS exclusive to you, so there's 50/50 chance that you'll be ok.

    But why not set up a landing page/squeeze page and send the traffic there first?

    That will most definitely work.

    For targetting, anyone who wants to make money online... gurus, clubs, products, etc.

    I actually did this myself for a little bit. Made a bit of money but nothing substantial. I direct linked to the WSO page from the ad as well as using promoted posts.
    I stopped because I just wasn't comfortable doing it anymore.

      Rob, could you give a little more details why you werent comfortable with it?
      Were you having problems getting sales with that traffic?
      Any other problems?
      Would like to know a little bit more about this.

    Personally I didn't have success with FB traffic for MMO or IM products. I didnt try with WSOs, but IM products in general didn't go well with FB traffic. I figured people are more into socializing on FB and aren't in the mood for IM products. I might be wrong, but that's my experience.
