Facebook Like Plateau

I have been trying out paid facebook ads for around 6 days but I seem to have hit a plateau with the number of likes I get per day. The first 1/2 days was spent playing around with ads although it turned out that my very first ad was the best converting and least costly.

I have extended the age range but I am yet to change the gender. I will do this at a later date.

What can I do to try and increase the number of like on my fan page?

Try to target people as precisely as you can. Have you thought about using custom audiences?

I am trying to target as precisely as I can. My best ad is targeted to under 400,000 people. Targeting my main 'keyword' and other related categories.

If you can, find ways of targeting them to reduce the number of people. Then split test different interests and ad images to see which works best

Try making new ad groups with different targeting settings, images, and interests. You can also try targeting these countries for the most likes per dollar.

Thanks but I am not interested in the most likes per dollar. Only in people from the UK.

If you're experiencing a plateau, then you need to expand your audience... look at the different pages/interests that the people who are liking your page like as well... you've got some gold there.

It all comes down to targeting. It takes time to master. You want to be specific, but you don't want to cut everyone out.

Also, keep in mind that variance plays a role. Some days you won't get any likes. That's just the way it is. View your campaign as a whole.

On the whole, you get what you pay for.

Hopefully just experiencing a couple of days of variance. Have set an ad campaign targeting to men now but with that the possible reach is 154,000. It is a female dominated industry.

Simple, pause it for 5 days, then restart it.

That's one solid way to break through plateaus.
