Klout - Useful or Useless?

What is this Klout thing? Is it any good for marketing?

      According to Klout CEO Joe Fernandez, they're working hard to create an innovative marketing platform. Klout for Business will provide business owners with insights into who among their followers have the most reach.

      Note that you can already do this with Buzzsumo, although you'll have to do some digging to find out if those people follow you or not. Buzzsumo is about to put up a pay gate, though, and Klout will definitely provide more in-depth analysis.

      Fernandez had this to say in regards to the new platform, “Imagine Pepsi wanting to know who in their audience is influential about snowboarding and invite those people to a Pepsi competition at Aspen."

      Having your brand ambassadors on speed dial is never a bad thing.

    Klout is good for finding people who are influencers in your niche so you can engage them on social media. If one of the top dogs likes your stuff and shares then that can be very valuable. It's also a great ego boost to see your own score keep going up.
